After a rough day of unexpected tumult, I thought that I'd try to think of "one good thing" from my day, like my friend Barb does. I thought of two beautiful visions from the morning.
Aspen aflame with yellow and red leaves just after sunrise...
My Shyla in the sunrise light next to golden aspens...
If I can keep visions like those in my head, I should be able to sleep tonight while the first snow of the year is falling on our world.
Beautiful thoughts and images to carry into the dreamworld! Sleep well. The first snow? It will be magical but we worry for compounding the damage still not repaired from the floods. Be safe.
ReplyDeleteSorry you had a rough day. You found two hood things though!
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous--both of them. Keep those in your mind's eye and the bad bits of life recede into the background.

Howdy Mates, that's the right idea. Our mum does the same thing at the end of the day. Sometimes we have to work harder to see the good things however small they may be. Take care. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
ReplyDeleteOh My! Don't you just love the Aspens when they are in full color?? We spent some time up in Cloudcroft, NM and absolutely loved the Aspens! Glad you found some good things in your day!! Shyla always looks so pretty!

I usually find it easy to see a good thing, but focusing on the good things is a challenge for me. A habit worth cultivating, though!
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful visions. Those Aspen trees are gorgeous

Yep no doubt about it, beautiful. We have snow too, and it's beautiful as well.

Gorgeous photos!
ReplyDeleteDid you ever locate the cause of the mystery smell in your vehicle?
Hope you have a great day!
The good things, however small, are always wonderful.
ReplyDeleteOne good thing always puts the mind at a calmer, more thankful place. Luckily, you usually find more than one! Hugs to you - don't blow away. Windy and cold in Denver but only a few flurries here.
ReplyDeleteI want to put those beautiful things in my mind tooo-- and I know it will make me feels much better for sure! So much beauty!
