It is a Sweet Sunday despite everything. Painful neck, radiating arm pain, an unrelenting cough - but it is a glorious and sunny Sunday.
Sunrise light is the sweetest light of all. I love having Shyla to share it with.
Frost on a geranium leaf at sunrise. The time when the sun shines on a frosty leaf but the frost hasn't yet melted is so fleeting.
Leaf shadows on Shyla's face. I appreciate those shadows because the leaves will soon be on the ground.
R, the big brother, looking serious. He was actually staring at a squirrel that he was about to chase although he'd prefer you to think that he was pondering the meaning of life.
Spotted leaves in the sunshine. I love this time of year, and I don't want it to fade.
Our world overflowed with beauty today. It suckered me in, making me briefly forget that I wasn't feeling good. I let myself try to do a longer bike ride than I should have. I limped home (with the help of a friend) but most of the ride was gorgeous!
Such beauty!

It's a magical world you show each post. Shyla is so sweet, but the look on R face was priceless.

I think R WAS pondering how wonderful life could be IF he could only catch that squirrel, just this one time!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Stella, who knows
I love this time of year as well for all its warm and rich colors, nature's beauty. Your photos are - as always - breath taking.
ReplyDeleteThat photo of R is beautiful! Of couse, the photos of Shyla are too. I love the frost on the leaf photo. I'm sorry you aren't feeling good. I hope it passes quickly and you are back to normal in no time.
ReplyDeleteYou lived every moment to the fullest- thats for sure.
ReplyDeleteNow maybe a little rest and allow the Universe to shower you in quietness and healing.
Everyday is better with Shyla and R in it,
love

ReplyDeleteHope you recover quickly so you can get back to enjoy the beautiful fall days.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed your day--Nature really does have a way of making us forget everything, at least for a little while, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteI've been looking at your glorious photos of fall. Ours in the mountains is mostly over. Don't overdo! Feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteMy Vickie wants to know if your human ever takes it easy? You two are the most active teams that we know of. But it works out good for us cause we get to see so much of your area.
ReplyDeleteAll that beauty makes the pain bearable....just.

p.s. That was a wonderful story about Shyla wanting to meet people! Go Shyla!!
It is a beautiful time of year. I am sure R was pondering the meaning of life... the mean of the squirrels life. hehhehe. You take care of yourself KB. My MOM has been sick for two weeks and is just now starting to feel better. The cough, oh that has been the worst. Healing vibes being sent your way.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
