A long and restless nap by a bear

A big male bear lumbered in front of my camera. I assumed that he was scent marking and would be on his way soon as I watched the first few seconds of video. Wrong! Next, he dug a day bed in the thick carpet of pine needles. Finally, he lay down to sleep. He spent six and a half hours snoozing restlessly.

    this might just be my most favorite of all your videos. i can say that it is the only one that I sat and watched and laughed all the way through. he makes me feel HAPPY just watching him. I sleep like that myself. I LOVE IT

    Wow, that has to be some rare footage you've got there of a bear napping. I laughed at the 3:40-3:44 mark when it moved onto it's back with it's paws in the air. And those stretches as it woke up are neat to see. Thanks for sharing!

    Gosh I'm a bit jealous of the day bed...me thinks I need one of them. I often sleep poorly at night maybe I need to try day time

    All of a sudden, after some turning and tossing, and an odd scratch, he sits, alert, and off to the pond. Loved the dappled sunshine on his coat, and the way he methodically made a comfy bed. What a fantastic video of all times.
