Black Dog Sunday

We appreciate every day that R can run through the flowers after all that he's been through!

For all his life, his ears have gone crazy when he gallops.

We sometimes call him the "flying nun".
We get the feeling that R also appreciates that he's running without serious pain for the first time in many years. We still do physical therapy with him every day to keep his elbow stabilizing muscles strong.
We love our Black Dog!

  4. I love the floppy ears, and a handsome, happy, and active dog. For all the talk of the difficulty of photographing black dogs, you do wonderfully with R! And I could use some tips, because I often have trouble getting Luke's eyes to show up in his black face.

  7. We know he enjoys his runs, too. Sad to think if he'd been in another family, it wouldn't have happened.

Our lab-cross Jake has Sister Bertrille ears, too.
