Signs of Change

Some flowers still flourish.

But I am seeing the first of Autumn's art. I love it and hate it at the same time!

I think that Shyla mostly loves it for the promise of cooler temperatures!
No matter what, she charges forward gleefully! I wish that I were more like her!

    yes, in the last three days I have seen a lot of yellowing in the leaves round here! Now thoughts already turn to having to 'courie in'! YAM xx

    I always look forward to the cooler temps! That leaf is so neat...it looks like a leaf inside a leaf!

    And as we are officially in spring now, our days should get warmer. You will see leaves change, and a little less daylight. Shyla will so enjoy those snowy hills.

    I wish I felt a little more gleeful about it too! I just don't want to lose my gardens yet. It's been so slow with cooler temps that some veggies are just starting to produce now!

    We feel we never got summer . . . . it was the coldest Sept 1 on record. Fall is beautiful but too close to winter!

    Oh, those are BEAUTIFUL shots! That leaf is amazin'! I wish we had cooler temps...right now it's 108 !!! It's gonna be the same tomorrow and a cool 100 on Sunday ;). I would REALLY loves some cooler weather right nows! butts, at least it's a dry heat!

    I find myself with mixed feelings about the waning summer and approaching autumn as well. Yes, we need to be more like our dogs and just go with it without question. We'd be better off for it. Live in the moment makes more sense now than ever before.

    We're still having warm/hot days, but I'm truly revelling in cool nights right now - it's been such a physically difficult time in recent months, with the frequent rain and heat. I think Piper has been for more walks in the woods in the past couple of weeks than the whole rest of the summer, when I practically had to carry her out the door to get her to go outside at all! Yes a little coolness is very welcome :)
