The brilliant colors with rock sculptures in the background...
The soft low angle sunlight making Shyla's fur glow...
And the Milky Way...
Now we are bracing ourselves for temperatures in the 20's and snow tomorrow! It's a shocking transition but I love both places - the desert and the mountains.

I like all three reasons and that paw in the air made me smile so big it hurt
ReplyDeleteOctober has always been my favorite desert time. When my kids were growing up, they had 5 or 6 days off school every year in the middle of October. We always headed to the desert to camp.
ReplyDeleteOMD, those stars! I've lived my entire life on the east coast and even when I'm at anchor in the remotest areas of Georgia or North Carolina we never have that dark a sky. Just stunning!
ReplyDeleteSuch glorious photos! Brrrrrrr - 20 degree temps are cold!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant. Does it get quite cold at night there in October? Shyla has the perfect wave.
ReplyDeleteWe love each of those reasons!
ReplyDeleteYou convinced us - amazing photos!!! As for the snow, do you have room for three envious Sibes?
ReplyDeleteAbsolutey stunning!

SSshhhh - we don't want no more stinking people in the desert please. ;) It's like they come out of the woodwork this time of the year.
ReplyDeleteOh YES!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteWe've had that weather for a few days now and were out in it all weekend. It takes time to adjust to the cold, but we are liking it.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful desert beauty!
