Thankful Thursday

It was a long day of packing the old house that was no fun at all. But, before that, I had a wonderful morning out in nature with Shyla.

The day started with a gorgeous sunrise over our meadow that has some golden color left in it.

After sunrise, Shyla and I headed out for a bike ride on trails. We found a few pockets of golden leaves that the wild wind had not blown down. We had fun in the sun among the leaves.

Then, we explored in a new direction, and we found a lake for Shyla to go swimming. It was still warm and tranquil when we got there. It was SO much fun. I threw sticks for Shyla to retrieve.

I wish that we'd tried going to this lake before winter was knocking on the door! Indeed, just after we left the lake, a wicked winter wind picked up, and it was not warm anymore.

Recently, I've been particularly grateful for my time with Shyla in the mornings. Having such fun first thing in the morning makes the tedious work of moving a bit easier.

  6. Shyla Shines in front of Gold, it makes her glow with beauty. Beau is a stick fetcher. Bob just tossed the stick and found he loves it.

  7. Packing, selling, buying and moving they say is the most stressful event in our lives. I hope those moments with Shyla will give you the inner strength to carry on. Always some sadness, as memories will be there, but looking at your new trails, pools for swimming, and the wildlife, you have the perfect gift from nature to boost you up.

  15. Moving and all the packing are never much fun!!! And unpacking isn't a whole lot better. But seeing a sunrise like that and having fun with your beautiful girl can only lift the spirits very high.

  16. Moving in is fun, setting up, figuring out how to decorate, etc, but packing up the old is not fun, and cleaning up a place you won't be in anymore is even less fun. Hopefully you will soon be moved in and moving on completely.

  18. I've sworn to live and die at the house where we are now...never moving again (willingly). But to have such fun before the tedium almost makes it worth it.
