Thankful Thursday

Ever since Hachi joined our pack, Shyla has watched out for him. When they are together, her eyes are often on him, trying to get him to play.

She is the master of carrying a stick in a tempting way while looking back at Hachi.

It usually works!

I am so thankful that this pair has the freedom to run and play together at Lab Valley. It builds their bond, and it makes them both happier. Most of all, I am thankful that Shyla is the perfect sister for Hachi.

  2. A stick made for TWO! love it. I do miss Baby and Jake doing this stick thing. Jake loved to torment Baby with sticking the stick almost to her and then run with it

  3. Shyla is so sweet. We wouldn't call those things Shyla has picked up a stick. They look more like a whole branch! BOL!

  4. You are such a tease with that stick, Shyla, but we know that Hachi is loving every minute of it! Great photos!

  7. Yes, I am also happy about the sister/brother thing going on. I feel the same way about 50 pound Lucy being such a wonderful sister to 15 pound Xena, and knowing how hard she can play with Xena without hurting her.

    1. He does have much longer legs than she does. Shyla has the "low slung" Lab look while I sometimes think that Hachi must have some greyhound in him based on his shape. I love his sleek shape.
