Shyla on Friday

The house is too quiet tonight. Sweet Shyla was stricken with terrible GI issues a lot like Hachi's of a couple of weeks ago. Even though we got her to an ER vet pretty fast, she was already very dehydrated. She's staying in the hospital for 24-48 hours so that she can get fluids and medicines via IV. They will also try to figure out what caused it.

She could sure use any healing thoughts that you can spare.

  4. Healing thoughts pouring your way and I do hope they can figure out what it is because it might be something they're getting into that's making them sick like that. It's really odd that she's got the same thing like what Hachi had prayers and love coming your way

POTP POTP POTP...x 87 and then some. One wonders if there is something lying that both dogs have inadvertantly ingested? Hope the tests reveal enough info that action (or avoidance) can be taken. YAM xx

  14. Boy, what is going on with this GI stuff? I'm sure you - and the vets - are wracking your brains. Hoping Shyla is coping with her vet experience fairly well in her shy dog way, and sure hoping she bounces back quickly as Hachi did. Hugs from Boise!

  17. This is so worrying, and not like us where we can get to the bathroom or bucket in time. I so hope they find the reason and darling Shyla recovers very soon. Heaps of love from a calmer place today with no huge shakes so far.,

  22. Oh my goodness, y'all have been through it lately. :( Much love, mojo, and good thoughts to you all, and quick and thorough healing to Shyla!

Any chance there's a plant or something in the new place that might seem chew-worthy to dogs, but actually isn't good for them?

  25. Man, that stuff is so scary. A friend of ours just had to rush their 1 yr old pup to the ER because she suddenly couldn't stand, was vomiting and disoriented. They don't know what is causing that either. We hope Shyla continues to get better and they can figure out what has caused this.
