The Animals of Lab Valley from Fall through Winter

There's a spot close to our house in Lab Valley where an aspen grove narrows the travel route to a thin path. Many animals pass that spot and then even cross the bridge by our house despite our presence in the valley. Within our first month here, there was a mountain lion but there hasn't been another since then. However, the variety of animals since then still makes me smile.

Check out the video to find out who we share the valley with.

  1. it is like having your own zoo... the way zoo's should be animals in their natural habitat and not behind bars ;O)

  2. looks like they have claimed that foot bridge for their very own. I love the blackness of the bears with shining eyes in the night vision. so beautiful

  4. There sure is a lot of activity on that trail. We hope someday another big cat will wander by.

  5. You certainly have a lot of wonderful visitors near your property. I was amazed at the footage where the bear and the elk came with a half hour or so of each other.

It always makes me chuckle when the animals spot your camera.

  8. Such diversity, and at about the 2 minute mark, did the coyote look like he had a lame leg, then came back the other way, or was it the deep snow that made it look that way? I wonder if they all sense the trail-cam and notice something different? Great footage through the season. And so close to home on the footbridge, what a wonderful place Lab Valley is.

  13. It's great to see there are still places where animals survive and thrive. They're all but gone from our mountain -- too dry. Maybe there are still some that come out at night, some that I don't know about. I hope so.
