Sizzling with enthusiasm

After a long day, the dogs sizzled with enthusiasm on our evening hike.

They sprinted away with a stick, so fast that I thought they were about to disappear over the horizon.

But, they sprinted back just as fast when I called them. The only problem was that they didn't know what to do with the stick when they arrived!

I hope that the video makes you smile like I did!

  2. Me, too. But I have a little trouble visualizing them turning around with stick in both mouths, traveling fast! I need a better picture of this feat!

    Cheers and hugs,

  10. I loved the video. Our dogs often "share" the same stick as well. Next time I'm going to recall them and see what happens. Too funny.

  11. Too much fun! I'm always inspired by the training you put into your dogs. They're even up for the stick sharing/double recall challenge. Well done, pups!

  12. Ha! I have a border collie who recalls like nobody's business. When I played your little video she heard you yell "Dogs Come" and came running through the dog door.

  14. I think you might be on to something, KB, with your comparison to K when she's nervous, jumping all over people. Marge definitely uses that when she's nervous - I'm thinking of the vet, for example. Maybe she does similar with visitors in the house and I was too enamored with her friendly behavior to realize. Hmm!

  20. A couple of you asked how the dog did the U-turn while both of them still hung onto the stick... I don't know. I just so happened to have the video recorder going when I seriously thought that the dogs might run all the way Kansas before stopping. So, my recall was pretty loud, and I couldn't even see them when they turned. But, they turned, and that's what's important.

Glad others smiled and chuckled from it too!
