We had a wonderful, lazy, happy, and fun morning walk together. She stood next to a Ponderosa Pine Tree that smelled like vanilla in the warm sunshine.
And, our sunset hikes continue. This was a smoky sunset, rendering K's fur deep red. We sit and watch the sun set and the graceful flights of a pair of night hawks who emerge every evening at sunset. They call back and forth as they swoop through the air capturing bugs.
Our sunset tradition is a peaceful ending to each day that we get to spend with K.
No doubt - this will be an undulating path, with good and bad days interspersed. I'm just thankful that today was GOOD!
These photos were from almost the same time when K sent the cinnamon bear running toward this tree. I wonder what happened when the two bears were in close proximity? I have a small clue that I'll show you tomorrow.
Here's to the good days and the support of all of you!
Always so happy to read about the good days together with your girl! Tonight we smile with you.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Lily Belle
Glad you had a good day. Thanks for your encouragement last night. It was a tough day, but we will learn from your and K's example....living each day to the fullest and with no regrets!!

Reading your blog is like being drawn into a really good book. I hate it when I have to wait unti the next day to read more. I am absolutly riveted by the bear teaser.
ReplyDeleteSo glad today was good for you and K.

Looks like the bear was taking a shower in the whammy tree. Glad K is better.
ReplyDeleteThat bear needs a good sized loofah, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteJ and the gang, who are happy K is better today.
Once again: THANKS!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat second pic of K and the last one in your former post speak volumes about her terrific strength of spirit. I've been off the computer for awhile enjoying spring, but I've been thinking about you. Great - funny! - bear pics. I haven't encountered any yet, but a neighbor saw a small one by her house this week. Take Care!

ReplyDeleteWe wish every day was a good one...and I guess maybe that is the lesson, right? Every day IS a good one, just depends on how you look at things. Joyful White Dog Army howls that your weekend is filled with color and harmony.

I'm glad that K is feeling better. I know the ups and downs are hard and draining. The bear is pretty cute pulling the tree around himself.
ReplyDeleteWoo Hoo for good days. Again I say woo hoo.
ReplyDeleteMy MOM told me she thought of you and K often today as she looked out the windows of the hotel in Denver at the mountains.
Blessings,
Goose
I'm grateful for each good day that you and K are able to share. You're both in my prayers...

Every sunset is a blessing! Here's to the good old days!
ReplyDeleteI sure had to giggle at that bear. Nothing like a good ole whammy tree rub, I guess! LOL!
It looks like the bear was putting on quite a show!
ReplyDeleteSam
Well, that bear at the whammy tree seems really, ahem, happy, so perhaps he and the cinnamon bear made some kind of love connection.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad K had a better day yesterday, and you, too! It's really hard not to get wrapped up in emotions when the days vacillate between good and bad. Those good days are really good for getting yourself grounded again, though. :)
Hi KB, we just read yesterday's post and send you hugs and love. We are glad K is having a good day today. You are always in our thoughts.
ReplyDeleteWe are still amazed at your contact with bears. It totally boggles our little brains hehe. Take care. Love Stella and Rory (and Carol)
Hi Y'all,
ReplyDeleteSorry I wasn't able to keep up and missed that K was not feeling well yesterday. So glad this day was better.
