Happy Labor Day!

R is feeling much better. He and Shyla have started running and playing together!
Shyla's sensitivity and beauty continue to help my heart to heal.
She looks beautiful in meadows and in the pine forest.
And, I'm trying to get Shyla a variety of experiences, like meeting horses. We sometimes see horseback riders out on our trails so it's important that Shyla is calm and well-behaved around horses.
This little girl is capturing my heart. I still miss K, and Shyla can't change that. But, having a new little girl to nurture, one who is so sensitive and loving, has put a new spring in my step.

Happy Labor Day to Everyone!

  5. Hi Y'all!

So glad R is feeling better!

When they leave us, animal or human, they take a part of our heart with them. Shyla is already stealing another piece of your heart.

I guess when all of our heart is gone, that is when we, ourselves, go to join them...like the saying goes...where the dogs are, that is where I want to go.

  16. You just gave us goose bumps! Seeing R and Shyla running together for the first time, yup! That's what did it :)

What a beautiful team they make. It's wonderful to see them getting along together.

You must be having so much fun teaching Shyla all these new things. We can see in her eyes that she is eager and willing to please.

Such a pretty horse too. Doesn't seem like it bothered Shyla to be around him.

    Way to go!!

    Hugs,
