It is the most glorious time of year. Warm, green, beautiful. I am soaking it up!
We saw sunset last night.
Shyla couldn't open her eyes fully as she looked toward the setting sun.
After the sun set, her eyes were free to open fully, looking at the show in front of her.
Do you see any signs of an eye infection in the above photo? Is it some kind of law of dog ownership that maladies strike at the hour that your vet closes for the weekend? I think it is.
Shyla is still happy and zooming around, but she has something going on with her eye. I'm flushing it with saline, hoping to head off an infection the easy way.
In the meantime, we are reveling in the glory of summertime in the mountains! This Shooting Star flower can only bloom when we have lots of moisture. It's a gift!
Enjoy your Saturday!
PS We are switching internet systems, starting in about 10 minutes, so I will be without internet for some unknown period of time while the transition occurs. I hope it's not long!
Oh yes glorious warm summer. I could not tell anything about Shyla's eye. I hope if it is something it will be all better in a day or so. I took MOM on a mountain hike today for her birthday. Yea,, she said it was the best gift ever. Enjoy your weekend is the sun and soak soak it up.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
Hope her eye gets better!

Howdy Mates, thanks for your sunny photos. We are having winter and love to see your warmth and beauty. Hope Shyla's eye is ok. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
ReplyDeleteOf course that's when something happens...nothing like a trip to the emergency vet over a weekend. Glad you can avoid it and hopefully Shyla will be good as new by Monday.
ReplyDeleteSeems like just last week you were talking about snow!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the warmth...and moving around without all those clothes.

Yes! Definitely a law of prt ownership. Just had something happen at 5:30 on a Wednesday. The vet had just left for the day! Those flowers are amazing!
ReplyDeleteYou said all the snow would lead to a beautiful spring, and you were right. Sending best wishes that the saline treatment helps Shyla's eye.
ReplyDeleteHi, hope the new internet works well, Shyla's eye, cannot see anything, could she have a grass seed embedded in it? One of our cats did, it was so hard to see, the vet needed a magnifier. Had to be pulled out with tweezers/forceps??Lovely shots with the sun shining on golden girl. Greetings from Jean
ReplyDeleteShyla's eye looks ok to me too...perhaps just an irritation that the drops will take care of? Beautiful photos!! Happy Weekend!
ReplyDeleteWe have had a couple of very nice days here too. We are really hoping it can last a bit before the summer heat hits. That first pic of R and Shyla is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteHope Shyla's eye responds to your treatment.
Shyla's eye looks fine to me, too, so maybe the Saline is doing the trick!!
ReplyDeleteR is even handsomer than usual.
Cheers,
Jo, Stella and Zkhat
I always love your wildflowers. They are so unique.

Dogs are always fine when the vets are open. Illness waits for weekends and bank holidays.
ReplyDeleteHope Shyla's eye is ok....maybe it's just a fleck of dirt or such that is irritating it....
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful as always! We love that pretty flower. Great job capturing the bug on it too :)
ReplyDeleteHope that Shyla's eye gets better soon.
Hugs,
Lily Belle & Muffin
Mom is planning a trip to CO (not till next year). Shyla surely enjoying a glorious summer day. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
ReplyDeleteSummer is the best time of year, especially in the mountains.
ReplyDeleteSun? What is this sun you speak of? It's been so dreary here it's difficult to be inspired to take a picture of anything. So I'm here, enjoying your beautiful photography!
ReplyDeleteYour eyes look okay to us, Shyla, but your mom knows best. We hope they feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots♥
Mitch and Molly
Oh absolutely! Whatever goes wrong is bound to go wrong one hour after the vet closes for the weekend... Fingers and paws crossed that the saline does the trick. Maybe she just got something in her eye.
ReplyDeleteLove the shooting star! We have shooting stars out here in the Midwest, but ours are white, not fuchsia.
