Thankful Thursday

I am thankful for sweet Shyla. She makes me smile, no matter what.
Life is full of heartbreak and change right now. But one constant is Shyla running by my bike and happily posing for my camera. We have so much that we love to do together. We are both grieving but we find joy in our time outdoors together.

What are you thankful for?

  9. I am forever grateful for our animals. They do not judge us and they love us unconditionally. They count on us for support as we count on them for support. Sometimes in todays world, I would rather be with my animals than people. Of course all the people on this blog sound wonderful-too bad we cannot form our own group in real life (since we are all over the world).

  13. I'm grateful for modern medicine that is helping Fiona and Blaze stay alive. I'm thankful for having four of Brut and Silver's kids in our home. And I'm very grateful for the bloggers I've gotten to "know" who have the same dog passion as me.

I glad you and Shyla are not going through your grief alone, but together.

  14. I'm thankful for Luke of course but for our farm birds and the new chicks. It's tough for us to only have one dog and no cats right now, but the birds give us so much to do, it really helps.

  16. Blog friends who share and care, family here in NZ, a little grey boy who snuggles on my pillow at 3 a.m. when it is about 3 Celsius outside, seeing the frost on roofs this morning, AND a letter from our local hospital to tell me I have been accepted for cataract surgery. I hope the waiting list is SOOO long, and I will be OK for surgery after June 2021. Seeing Shyla, who is a huge comfort as you all gather together sharing the huge loss of R .I remember the words of Sir Ed and Peter Hillary as they met, after Sir Ed's wife and daughter were killed in a plane crash. They were something like this from memory " We gathered the remnants of our family together and stood in the middle of the road hugging each other in a huddle".So Gather Shyla, Hachi and Runner, and huddle, , looking at your beautiful Range still tipped with snow.XXX from a still cold morning down here.

  17. Mom felt the same way about Emma, and then we suddenly lost Emma. She loves us all, but some dogs are just more heart dogs than others.

  18. After such a bittersweet week - we are thankful Shyla loves the creek -and the creek loves her. The wide open spaces of your new home will give strength and comfort to all. I am grateful your pictures capture that possibility and share it so well.

  19. I'm grateful for so many things in my life, my children and grandson, my cats - even when they are pestering me for dinner, the rest of my family, and friends, my health, and a comfortable home. The list goes on....
I'm also so grateful for the contacts I've made around the world through blogs. We generally live such different lives but we share much more.

    Take care and stay well!
