    1. It is a healed cut or scrape of some sort. Elk eat aspen bark in the winter. My guess is that an elk bit it a long time ago (10 yrs?) and it's healed in that interesting symbol!

  13. That tree is so cool! At furst I though someone painted a lizard on it (Ma's got lizards on the brain, cause we gots so many of them this summer! she loves them btw ☺) That is one pawsome shot of you Shyla! as always....☺
