Autumn's "Flowers"

Autumn is brilliant here in the Colorado mountains. Not only is it beautiful, but Shyla also loves that the air is getting cooler. She can run and jump without getting hot.

Flowers have almost completely gone to sleep, resting for next year. However, I did find one hardy clover bloom next to a pond.

The real star of autumn is the leaves. I am constantly scanning for especially beautiful ones. I loved these leaves as much as any flower!

I found these gorgeous leaves while flying low above an aspen grove. The entire tree had leaves this color!  I plan to show you aerial photos an entire tree of leaves like this one in a future post.

Yes, autumn is golden, especially when the sky is blue!

Autumn is winding down here. Many of these leaves will fall if the forecasted snow hits us on Monday. In the meantime, I'll keep on enjoying the "leaf art" that surrounds us.
Thank you to the LLB gang for hosting this hop!

  1. Clover never looked so beautiful! We LOVE autumn leaves and you look so happy, Shyla!

  2. That's a lot of pretty and a really fast Shyla!

  3. Leaves don't change colors much in Texas, so we LOVE seeing your pictures!

  4. You sure have some beautiful colors to share this time of year.

  5. Beautiful colors! Our leaves are just starting to change - a little late this year, not sure why! I love fall, too, the colors, the cooler days and even more cooler nights. It's my favorite time of year.

  6. So very pretty.
Can't wait to see your "flying" photos we love it
when you fly to the music above the forest.
    Happy Friday

  9. I love golden leaves against a brilliant blue sky. Gorgeous red aspen too.

  10. Snow on Monday? Be still my beating heart. Snow or rain would be most welcome downhill. Not much leaf change going on in the city for this time of year although I found a red and orange maple tree yesterday on a walk that was quite spectacular. Gotta love this time of year!

  11. So very beautiful!! The clover sees to be glowing and I always enjoy seeing Autumn from your lens!

  12. We love the red and orange leaves, but they are not really here yet.

  13. It would be so fun to be with you and Shyla and R during your beautiful autumn season. I would love to smell all the fragrances,,, and see the magical colors that are painted in your world. I would love to walk beside you and feel your joy as your eyes scan your world. I would love to see R and Shyla run and chase, and feel their ethusiasm. But you know what,, I feel it in your beautiful posts.

  14. Such beautiful and vibrant colors!!! Our leaves are only barely starting to change color. Hope Shyla and R get to have lots of fun runs together. Happy weekend.

  15. We haven't been able to enjoy autumn as much as usual, because it's just been endless clouds and rain here. Probably by the time we see sunshine again, next thing we know they will be saying that "s" word here too! :)
    Beautiful photos!
