Our Black Dog isn't afraid of many things in life but one is flies and bees. You may be wondering how he looks so happy in the midst of a sea of wildflowers if he's afraid of the flying bugs that live among them.
I don't know the answer to that question. When I ask him if he wants to go to the meadow, he barks ecstatically. And he seems happy while we're there. So, I guess that having lots of fun can outweigh his fear of bugs.
If only everyone's fears could be washed away so easily!
Happy Black Dog Sunday!
I'm with you, R. If the insects are inside my house, I run and hide but not before I let mom know that it needs to be eliminated from my space and if I'm outside, flying things are okay. You are such a handsome boy with the colorful wildflowers!
ReplyDeleteI kissed his face. such a beautiful boy he is.. Jake was terrified of bees/bugs and snapped at any that came close.. glad R can overcome his fears and enjoy the meadow

ReplyDeleteOh my, R, this very morning I was keeping company of a bumble bee. I have to say, he was on his last gasps, having done his pollen work. He seemed only to require company in those last moments. Can you furgiff me fur liking dem??? Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
You sure are having some romping fun R!
ReplyDeleteMillie isn't a fan of any bug that flies around her head. I don't think she could ever sit in a field of flowers. R sure looks like he is enjoying himself.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of bugs either R, but I'm sure I'd enjoy the meadow too. Smart dog!
ReplyDeleteI'd take meadows over flying bugs any day.
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful that you can do the things you love, R.
ReplyDeleteHe is so resilient, and maybe the thought of the open spaces, running free in the flowers is enough to was away any thoughts of a bug or two.
ReplyDeleteOh R I'm in awe of your bravery I itch just thinking about bees and flies and 'skeeters.
ReplyDeleteI think secretly you know you look 87 kinds of handsome out standing in that field of wild posies
Hugs Cecilia
If only, that's for sure! I'm glad the insects don't deter R's love of the meadow. He looks so handsome surrounded by all that color. ♥

He probably doesn't hear them when he's having so much fun!
ReplyDeleteOh so sweet. If we want wildflowers we do have to tolerate the insects as well. Love the black dog. It's the best part of my Sundays.
ReplyDeleteR, we are not big fans of bees either or flies or gnats or any of those buzzing creatures!
ReplyDeleteR, you have such a sweet and kind face.
Fun over fear, I think R is very wise!!
ReplyDeleteLove that brave R
