Is Brownie the bear cub a bully?

The wrestling and playing by the bear cubs continued on and on. In this video, Brownie bit Blackie on the back as they relaxed in the water.

Then Brownie reared up as Blackie also rose.

Brownie used her greater strength and size to pounce on Blackie.
To be honest, I'm feeling just a little sorry for Blackie - I think that Brownie is a bit of a bully. Now I understand why Blackie is staying so close to Mom a lot of the time. I hope that mom defends him and that he gets a lot to eat and catches up to Brownie in size.

Check out the short video.

  1. Shame on you, Brownie! You need to play nice!

  2. I wonder if blackie is a female and brownie a male.. Brownie sure is aggressive and much bigger. the clarity of the video is just amazing...

Ah yes, dominance making itself felt... Will send some love vibes Blackie's way! YAM xx

  4. Brat! I guess that mom would intervene is she felt it was getting to be too much. Great video!

  5. Notice how Brownie waited for Mom to walk away before bullying Blackie!

  6. Brownie you are a naughty bear! I do think you are a bully!

  7. He is like one of our cats, head on the side, looks carefully then attacks. He is definitely a bully, and I hope Blackie can grow, and defend to his/her best ability.

  8. We're going with bully. We notice Brownie waits until Mama isn't looking.

  9. Brownie looks like a bit of a rough dude!

  10. We too are wondering if Brownie is a male, so much bigger than Blackie. Fun to watch them, but Brownie needs to play fair:)

  11. Brownie sure is a bit of a bullie. We hope they both grow up big and strong.

  12. Oooooh, I have missed so much! Lookie at those adorable bears! Yes, I agree, Brownie is a bully, butts I thinks Blackie will come into his own....Ma said it reminded her of her brother and her as wee ones! BOL!
