Saturday Rainy Day Blues

In the midst of a very rainy string of days, this Coloradan is wondering where our 300 days of sun per year have gone. 40°F and rain is my definition of very cold for this time of year.

Perhaps all of this rain will help the flowers grow even taller!
Please send our sun back!!!

Happy cold and rainy Saturday!

  1. We just had three more days of rain but today it is so beautiful I am almost hesitating to go outside in case it disappears! I hope your beautiful turquoise Colorado skies soon return with warm sunshine :)

The Sun, it seems, has withdrawn her graces from many places this year... I hear your plea, and repeat if for me! YAM xx

  4. I am thinking postive thoughts to send sunshine to you and bring a little rain to us.... nothing more beautiful that a dog in flowers.

  5. We've had a cooler than usual spring and are loving it. Of course it hasn't been as cold as 40 degrees though. You are sad about a few days of cloudy weather but you get almost twice the number of sunny days where you live compared to here. So we are just a bit jealous of all the blue sky you usually see.

  6. Last week we had 40 degrees and rain here in NC. We've got the sun here today and sorry, but we're not giving it up for a few more days.

  9. It was only 45F an hour ago down the hill. I've begun to notice more and more grey days here that could threaten the "Colorado has 300+ days of sunshine" meme. Maybe all that grey will stem the tide of new residents? 🤞🏼

  10. It's hot here in TN, and sunny now, but there's been enough rain to make the grass grow tall every week.

  12. After a miserable May with so much rain, the weeds are way above my knees, the sun came back. I so hope the same will be true for you. Looks like the snow has melted, so that's good at least. And Shyla should live in a field of yellow flowers, it's just so lovely to see her in one.

  13. Cold and snowy here in Breck! My yard is white again. Luckily, I didn't plant the flowers I bought this week.

  14. The weather seems a bit haywire again this year. We could use some of your rain.

  15. We finally got our sun back today. We got 2 inches of rain over the days before. As much as it's been dreary and depressing, I do have to say my vegetable garden is looking pretty good after it! I think it would also appreciate a few days of warmth and sunshine too, which hopefully we're getting. Hope you get a break too!
