Happy New Year

Each sunrise is like a fresh start in my mind.

As the sun lights up the mountains with alpenglow, the sunrise is coming to an end, and I eagerly get started with my day.

Just like each sunrise, tomorrow marks the start of a new year. We will continue to welcome our new sweet puppy into our lives.

 And we will revel in our love for Shyla and R.
While I rejoice in the puppyhood of Hachi, it has also shown me the rich wonder of the bond that we build with dogs who have been with us for many years, like Shyla and R.

I adore both - the crazy puppy love and the steadfast love of an adult dog. The coming year will be a time when those two wonders come together as Hachi forms bonds with everyone in our pack.

Happy 2019. There is so much to look forward to!!!

    more times than not, in the past year, your posts, words and photos, have brought tears to my eyes of joy or sadness. I love dogs and other critters and I always get my fill here. your words today touched my heart, remembering out other dogs and how much they loved us and Big Boy is filling our hearts with his love, 3 months today and each day we bond more and more

    Mom says a new puppy shows her how much she really knows about the other dogs, and how much she needs to learn about the little one. My first nose work ORT was a real awakening for my mom. She had no idea what the things I was doing meant. We worked on it and now she knows me so much better. Enjoy the puppy time.
